‘sit in silence’

This haiku is a response to Hando’s haiku below. It was written at a Cistercian monastery.

Hando’s haiku:

on the Snowmass slope
even the magpies on the fence
sit in silence

My response:

ancient fog curls quiet
man rides on sleepy donkey
blind men never saw

(For the haiku challenge hosted by the wonderful Chèvrefeuille)
